Jason joined the Yealands team in November 2007 and thoroughly enjoys the challenge of helping Peter build a great team and company. Jason believes Yealands Wines combines the best of all things Kiwi – celebrating our unique “can do” attitude.

Tamra Washington

Chief winemaker

Tamra grew up in Marlborough during the region’s viticulture explosion. Spending school holidays working in vineyards and winery restaurants sparked an early fascination with wine and its creation.

Tony Hoksbergen

General Manager of Viticulture

Tony completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (with distinction in viticulture) and then embarked on a lifetime career in the wine industry. He started with Penfolds before joining Montana Wines in 1983 in Gisborne.

Dean Watson

Chief Financial Officer

Until he joined Yealands, Dean worked in the strong wool industry with Wool Partners International as it endeavoured to create a grower-owned co-operative. Before that, he spent several years with the merino clothing company Icebreaker during its heady growth phase.

Sean Hutchinson

General Manager of Sales

Sean has gained a broad range of experience since starting in the liquor and hospitality services industry in the mid-1980s.

Michael Wentworth

General Manager of Marketing

Mike was formally the group brand manager for the Pernod Ricard (NZ) sparkling portfolio including international labels Champagne Mumm, Lindauer and Deutz Marlborough Cuvee. He has a wealth of experience marketing wine and developing portfolios of successful brands in Australasia.
